It's hard to believe that the most historical restaurant in Santa Barbara, Joe's Cafe, had no website up until last week!
Via our sister company, Vox Media Studios, In Color was proud to publish this jewel of local history. Partner, Duncan Westley, meticulously collected a precise accounting of Joe's Cafe's spectacular past with prose, photos and a detailed timeline while Art Fisher worked on programming the look and feel.
The accompanying Facebook Fan Page collected friends fast, zipping past a thousand in just a week.
UPDATE: This site is now comprehensively complete with the addition of an integrated PayPal store for all Joe's Cafe merchandise. |

One of the highest grossing restaurants in the state is our local, beloved fresh seafood restaurant/bar, Brophy Bros. This Boston-style clam bar is located a top our beautiful harbor here in Santa Barbara and has one of the most spectacular views one can find while he sips bloody marys and slurps down tasty clam chowder.
Through our sister company, Vox Media Studios, In Color is happy to announce the freshest thing in town: a complete makeover of brophybros.com. The new website garners a couple thousands page views per week and is helpful to locals as well as out-of-towners. The live harbor webcam will let you know when to hurry on down, while dozens of links populate the Explore Our Neighborhood area, providing helpful information for those needing accommodations or other things to do when they come visit town (either the Santa Barbara or Ventura locations). |

LabTracker.com Gets Remodeled |

When In Color designed LabTracker..com for Ground Zero Software about four years ago, it was one of our first high-profile websites built around a Content Management System (CMS). Since that time, CMS technology has come a long way, maturing to the point of mainstream acceptance in the professional website deployment sector.
Today we went live with the first major refresh of LabTracker.com. There was initially a major rush to update the site, yet we still decided to start from scratch and re-build the new site from the ground up. Under the direction of John Hollis, technical writer for Ground Zero Software, we kicked this entire site out in the course of a very long weekend. This is a testament to the fact that not only has CMS technology has become predictable and mature, but also that we at In Color are very well versed and efficient in working in this environment. Needless to say that GZS's CEO was very happy.
Of course, we don't recommend that you deploy an entire website on this type of schedule. But if you find yourself in a time-sensitive bind, you can count on In Color to keep the ball moving forward on your design project. We specialize in getting it done right the first time. |

Through our sister company, Vox Media, In Color is proud to announce the "go live" of a new website for General Racing, LTD. This site was sort of rushed in anticipation of increased traffic as a result of this week's Rolex Monterey Historic Automobile Races. Vox Partner, Duncan Westley, and General Racing director, Doug Earle, agreed that General Racing needed a more modern web presence in time for this week's monumental races, which are expected to bring 40 thousand or more visitors.
In any case, this site is an example of what Vox Media can produce in just over a week.
After this week's races, we will focus a bit more on GeneralRacing.com, adding a more comprehensive information about the company and the events it manages.
UPDATE: at the request of company management, we have taken down their Rolex Monterey Historic Automobile Races website and folded it into this General Racing site. This site is now much more comprehensive. |
