The In Color Vintage Art Store is now open for business.
Over the years, In Color has been acquiring original vintage artwork and maps, spending dozens of hours restoring and reviving them into fine art. The resulting artwork is now available for sale on In Color's new website, vintageart.store. In many cases, the restoration process has resulted in the creation of derivative pieces, which have subsequently been copyrighted as such. The images have come alive and taken on a new look befitting of accolades from the original artists.
Maps, historical photographs and the like are now available for sale. Although the store opens with only a handful of images, we are currently adding a new pieced daily. By year's end, the store will have a substantial offering. Furthermore, In Color will shortly team up with another curator of historic charts and maps, adding that collection to the store as well.

In Color has published a second coffee table book to compliment our 2013 publication about Santa Barbara's annual Old Spanish Days - Fiesta celebration. This book has the same measurements and page count as Fiesta, and will be ready for purchase in June, 2015.
Featuring the photography and design of In Color principal, A. Arthur Fisher, this book incorporates 13 years of Summer Solstice Celebration photography, and it includes chapters about each aspect of the event: float building, pre-parade preparations, the widely-cherished parade and the events at Alameda Park. The book's text is written by Santa Barbara native, Jenna Tico, and the foreword was provided by the Summer Solstice Celebration organization. Combined with Fiesta, this pair make a complete set of the two largest annual, summer celebrations in the county.
In Color became a digital Print Service Provider (PSP) in 1991 when we began offering digital proofing & fine art reproduction on our Iris printer and affordable digital color printing on our Canon Color Laser Copier (CLC). Iris Graphics pioneered high-fidelity, high-resolution, digital inkjet printing with predictable, accurate color control. And Canon pioneered affordable, high-speed color laser printing. Since then, principal, Art Fisher, has undergone two different certified training courses by Iris engineers, and exercised his training on a multitude of printers.
Over the last twenty years, In Color has installed and run dozens of different models of inkjet and electrostatic printers from all the top vendors, incorporating the full gamut of digital printing technologies. We are no stranger to predictable color and the science & art of both proofing and fine art reproduction. We have a thorough understanding of the entire process, including workflow, hardware, software, color management, paper and ink.
We have been authorized resellers for several different print hardware and software vendors, and have done installations and on-site calibration all over the state. Today we provide proofing & fine art printing to publishers, select artists, photographers and galleries throughout the country.
We currently host a Canon IPF8300 large format printer for our in-house fine art and proofing jobs. This machine features the LUCIA EX archival pigmented inkset, utilizing a 12-color, dual print head system with a total of 30,720 nozzles, and it prints on papers, canvases and other substrates up to 44 inches wide, though we often print larger widths in multiple sections. We keep this monster highly calibrated and are able to achieve archival prints which will last well over 100 years.
