Introducing the (IN) LARKIN® Kiosk System

18 July 2025

In Color® is pleased to highlight a recent project completed for (IN) LARKIN®, an upscale women’s clothing boutique, located in California’s Santa Ynez Valley. Owned by experienced fashion designer Mary Beth Larkin, the boutique caters to women seeking effortlessly chic, uniquely comfortable apparel.

Mary Beth observed that while shoppers often found pieces they loved, many struggled to create complete outfits. Drawing on her design expertise, she envisioned a solution to offer personalized styling suggestions.

Mary Beth developed the (IN) LARKIN Style Stacks® concept for a kiosk system. The boutique now features three kiosks—placed in the showroom and dressing rooms—where customers can scan a garment’s hang-tag to view curated outfit combinations, or “Style Stacks,” tailored for different occasions. These stacks, styled by Mary Beth herself, offer practical fashion inspiration.

Most (IN) LARKIN garments are included in the kiosk system, allowing customers to explore color variations, garment details, and view lifestyle images and videos of models wearing the pieces.

In Color provided the technical expertise behind the scenes, including kiosk logic and programming, barcode system implementation, and network configuration. We developed a custom web application using the Joomla framework and trained (IN)LARKIN staff to upload and manage their own media content. Currently, the system is available in-store, but we plan to expand it to the (IN) LARKIN website in the near future to enhance the online shopping experience.

This project exemplifies In Color’s commitment to transforming creative ideas into functional tools, and we’re proud to support (IN) LARKIN in elevating their customer experience. Stay tuned for future updates!
